OK so I'm watching the introduction of the starting lineups for game one of the NBA Finals. Before the introduction of the San Antonio Spurs' starting lineup they play the intro to Nightwish's Planet Hell? Why???? WHY??????

I am now an official graduate from the Hurley Medical Center School of Medical Technology! I had a lot of fun tonight. The food was good, the people were nice, the atmosphere was great, and our guest speaker was very interesting and informative. I just wish more of the techs would have showed up. It was a very good night though overall!!

Today I decided to go see Kung Fu Hustle. I thought it was great. It was very funny in an over the top sort of way but there were some really well choreograhed fight scenes as well. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes martial arts movies or who is a fan of Stephen Chow's stuff.

Well, I am back!

I really had a great time at the conference. Thank you to everyone that wished me luck before I left. I have a huge update planned that details everything that went on, but I'm not gonna post it right now. I'm exhausted and plan on taking a nap. I will probably make an update later tonight. I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm home safe, even though we did have a scary experience on the way up there. Well, time for my nap!!

I just want to let everyone know that I will be away from the internet for the next few days. I will be attending the MSCLS conference in Kalamazoo. I will be making a presentation on a project I did along with my partner. There are so many emotions running through my head right now. I'm nervous, anxious, excited, hopeful, and I feel longing as well. It would mean a lot to me if you all would wish me luck with my presentation because I'm gonna need it. Those of you who have my number, feel free to call me. My phone will most likely be off, but once I get your message I will call back. Last week was the week that we really started to work on our projects. We got most of the writing done and typed out last week. This week is going to be spent on finishing it up before the conference, which is on Wednesday. I think ours will turn out to be pretty good. I think we have a chance of winning, especially since there really isn't going to be a whole lot of competition there. Knowing me, I'll probably choke when someone asks me a question about it though. We are going to have to leave incredibly early on Wednesday morning, which sucks. I decided not to drive myself now that someone who has a much bigger vehicle is driving.

I went to see The Amityville Horror on Saturday and thought it was pretty good. I never have seen the original or read the book, so I have nothing to compare it to. I do plan on picking up the original sometime soon though. If I don't buy it, I will at least rent it. The movie had some good atmosphere, some creepy moments, and Ryan Reynolds (GASP!!) stole the show. His previous movies involved him being the goofy guy and being the provider of comedy relief. He plays it straight here though. He also plays psycho well too. This guy can definitely act! The Amityville Horror wasn't a fantastic movie, but it wasn't horrible either. I suggest seeing this if you are interested in the history of Amityville or just have a general interest in horror movies...

I've been listening to the new Mindless Self Indulgence album You'll Rebel to Anything and I like it a lot. I don't think I like it as much as Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy though. That album kicks so much ass. This new one only has 10 tracks on it too. It's pretty short, but it's not disappointing in the least. They do a crazy cover of Rush's Tom Sawyer on the new one. It really made me laugh...

I've been listening to Grendel a lot lately. Their new EP Soilbleed kicks all kinds of ass. Does anyone remember the club track Zombie Nation by Kernkraft 400? Well, if you do you have to check out Grendel's version of that track. It's fucking awesome. Some great samples used in the Grendelized version. Definitely not something to pass up if you're a fan of harsh EBM/industrial...
